Onyx Ore

Onyx ore is the rarest ore in Minecraft, only generating in the nether. To make it even harder to find, the ore blends in somewhat with netherrack, making it both rare and difficult to spot.

​Onyx tools are the epitome of efficiency. With double the number of uses as diamond, a slightly higher enchantability, and even being slightly faster, onyx tools are well worth your while - if you can get your hands on them.

​

Onyx armour is likewise very strong, offering higher defence than diamond armour, at the price of a lower enchantability. If you spend enough time in the nether to get so much onyx ore, you will become an extremely powerful mob slayer.





















 

Similarly to the Mythril Furnace, the Onyx Furnace (added in version 1.5+) has some special properties. This furnace will occasionally produce double the number of products when smelting. The default is a 33% chance to produce 2 ingots, etc. Both the multiplier and the chance can be edited in the config. The Onyx Furnace can be made like so:

Onyx bows are the final bow from SimpleOres. These bows combine the fire of the nether with extreme damage to become the ultimate long range monster hunter. At full draw, your arrows will be ignited, burning anything or anyone it hits. They also come stock standard with the equivalent of Power V.
